Dysfunctional Gut Microbiome Networks in Childhood IgE-Mediated Food Allergy

چکیده

The development of food allergy has been reported to be related with the changes in gut microbiome, however specific microbe associated pathogenesis remains elusive. This study aimed comprehensively characterize microbiome and identify individual or group microbes relating food-allergy using 16S rRNA gene sequencing network analysis. Faecal samples were collected from children IgE-mediated allergies (n = 33) without 27). Gut was profiled by sequencing. OTUs obtained then used construct a co-abundance Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) mapped onto Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathways. We identified module positively correlated this characterized hub taxon, namely Ruminococcaceae UCG-002 (phylum Firmicutes). Functional pathway analysis all showed enrichment methane metabolism glycerolipid food-allergic ubiquinone other terpenoid-quinone biosynthesis non-food allergic children. concluded that may play determinant roles microbial community structure function leading allergy.

IgE-mediated food allergy.

The behaviour of some immunologic parameters was studied in order to explain the presence or the lack of symptomatology in subjects with IgE specific to foods. In particular, we compared the levels of serum and salivary IgA and IgE antibody specific to apple in 33 patients allergic to birch and with anti-apple IgE, of whom 24 had oral allergy syndrome after eating apple and nine were apple tole...

The Potential Link between Gut Microbiota and IgE-Mediated Food Allergy in Early Life

There has been a dramatic rise in the prevalence of IgE-mediated food allergy over recent decades, particularly among infants and young children. The cause of this increase is unknown but one putative factor is a change in the composition, richness and balance of the microbiota that colonize the human gut during early infancy. The coevolution of the human gastrointestinal tract and commensal mi...

IgE mediated food allergy in Korean children: focused on plant food allergy

Food allergy (FA) is a worldwide problem, with increasing prevalence in many countries, and it poses a clearly increasing health problem in Korea. In Korea, as a part of International Study of Asthma and Allergy in Childhood (ISAAC), a series of nation-wide population studies for prevalence of allergic disease in children were carried out, with the Korean version of ISAAC in 1995, 2000, and 201...

Acquired IgE-mediated food allergy after liver transplantation in children.

BACKGROUND In recent years, the number of studies regarding newly-diagnosed food allergies after liver transplantation has been increasing. In this study, we aimed to investigate the frequency, aetiology, risk factors, and severity of IgE-mediated food allergies after liver transplantation in children. METHODS Paediatric patients who underwent liver transplantation at Inonu University Faculty...
